Hi, Margie;

Thanks for your help on the two queries I had earlier. It has been a tough one finding anything about the family in Iowa, even though I know they were in Lee County (My gr-grandfather was probably born in West Point, for example, as were at least two of his brothers.).

I just sent a query looking for a Mary Strobel Roth, for I found the wedding in Ohio in 1840, and if Mary is Jacob Roth's first wife, she most likely died in Iowa in 1845 or early 1846, for Jacob married his second wife in St. Louis, MO, in June, 1846. Sure wish there were German Methodist or German Episcopal church records available in Lee County!!! Oh well, I keep digging.

Thanks again.
Bev
