Has anyone seen any marriages performed by W. Dennett, MG? I am trying to determine whether he was a traveling minister, or, belonged to a church in Keokuk, or Iowa.

According to an index that we have, Daniel Gibson and Augusta K. Peters applied for a marriage licence August 16, 1864. They were married August 18, 1864. J. S. Cochran witnessed the marriage that was solemnized by W. Dennett, MG.

This record is filed at the North Lee County Courthouse in Ft. Madison Iowa. (from Keokuk Public Library)
