WM and SOPHIA WITTICH are listed in the 1860 census for Lee CO (Charlestown Township, P.O. Warren). Wm is listed as 35 and a shoemaker born in Saxony. His wife, the former Sophia Stoehr, was 25 also born in Saxony. They had three children at the time 6 year old WM, 3 year old ROBERT and 1 year old GEORGE. They had come to Iowa from Hermann MO about 1854. Am interested in any information on this family. Cannot locate them in the 1870 or 1880 census.
