Enlisted (mustered) into union army in St Louis, October 19, 1863, possibly Dec 17. I am trying to find his parents names, city of origin in Germany, or immigration info. He was born in 1831; I have all information to the present. Our name was changed from Krogmeier to Krogmire upon his death in Natchez, Miss, in 1889. I am trying to tie us with the Krogmeier’s in Iowa. Thanks for any information.
