I am looking for Robert W. McLaughlin who died
after September 26, 1853. His last daughter Louisa Jane McLaughlin was born there October 22, 1853. Robert's widow remarried David Coon, whose
wife had died on the Bank of the Des Moines River in the Winter of 1854, by the 1856 Special census. The family moved to Mercer Co. Missouri by
1860. Robert W. McLaughlin and Lucinda came from St. Joseph County Indiana where they lived from at least July 1, 1835 to at least September 28, 1850. Before this time, Robert W. McLaughlin is believed to have lived in Ohio and Randolph Co. Virginia. I believe he was born in Bath Co., VA in 1796.
