Looking for information on John Hagen (born around 1844 in Germany. He is listed in the 1900 Lee County, Charleston Township census along with his wife Elizabeth, sons George, William, Philip, Frank and Chris and daughter Clara. Chris was listed as head of household.

He and his family came from Germany around 1888. In 1900 his daughter Lizzie is listed as wife of John Fowler along with their children.

I have traced John's wife Elizabeth to Grinnell where she passed away in 1935. She was listed in the 1920 Grinnell Census as living with another son, C.A. Findeis, known as Charlie or Charles.

John, I understand from family past, went to California looking for gold. He died somewhere between California and Iowa. Any information on any of the family members would be greatly appreciated.
