My great-great grandfather is William Owens, born in Knox County, Indiana in 1816. He moved to Montrose, Lee County, Iowa in the fall of 1839 with his wife Lucinda Galland Owens, the third daughter of Isaac Galland and Margaret Knight Galland, and William and Lucinda's son Isaac Thomas Owens. Lucinda and William divorced in 1842 and William married Rachiel who was his wife until his death in September, 1876. They raised a family together, which included Isaac Thomas Owens, my great-grandfather. William was a contributor to the "Old Settlers" article in Montrose some time before his death. Do you have any further information? William Owens appears to be our common ancestor. Nella Owens Johnson
