There is no way for me or anyone else to find the information you ask for ... there were no records kept at that early of a date ... possibly a 1843 marriage, but a small chance. Hardly any 1843 headstones [if there was a stone, still exsist. You have no dates nor concrete evidence.

BUT! .. since she was a Van Ausdall I suggest you put this message on the Query Board on the Lee Co site. Lind Hayes will see it and she might have some information .. she has researched the early Van Ausdalls'.

Good afternoon,

I'm related to Margaret Van Ausdall who married in Lee Co 1843 to Adam B. Simms. She reportedly died in Lee Co not too long after their marriage and perhaps one child.

I would appreciate your help in finding Margaret's burial site and dates. Unfortunately I have no dates on Margaret. Her parents were William Van Ausdall (b. 1788 in VA) and Polly Hedrick (b. 1792 in VA)
Sincerely,
Richard E. Six
