Linda: I might be able to help you out. My Meinhardt ancestors came to America 1843, and bought land in know day Donnellson, Iowa. I would have to look but think Risser, is a name from the other Meinhardt's that came later on to the Donnellson area.
not sure if I will have email address much longer, but write me 1938 -140th avenue Donnellson, Iowa 52625. I have information on both Meinhardts, dating back to 1600"s
