TULLIS

I am interested in hearing from anyone with any information on the Tullis surname in Lee Co. Specifically, Isaac Tullis on 1838 tax list for Lee Co., John and Amos Tullis in 1840 census for Lee Co. Does anyone know how Thomas C. Tullis of West Point, Lee Co. (1850 census) might be related to these earlier Tullises? I am descended from John Tullis, above, and his wife Abigail Cook.
Can anyone verify which Amos Tullis this is? His age in the 1840 census would indicate that he was born between 1790 and 1800. The only Amos Tullis that I know of that was born in that time frame was the son of William Tullis and his wife, Mary Tabitha Teanis or Jeanis (have seen it spelled both ways), who married Mary Epperson, 1/12/1815 Warren Co., OH.
Isaac Tulis, above, also married an Epperson, Sarsh, but many years later. Always wondered if Isaac(b1819) and John(b1815) were sons of Amos in 1840 census. No proofs, just theories! Would love some collaboration or information from a fellow researcher if you know anything.
