Information on Thomas Burns arrived in America approximately April 1832 from Kilkenny, Ireland
with brother Lawrence who settled in Wisconsin and later Davenport, Ia finally homesteading in Emmetsburg, Iowa. Thomas had three children: John, Mary T. and ? . John & Mary T. never married. Mary died around 1950 and was a resident of Birge (?) Nursing Home.
