I am searching for William Daniel Brown who married Samira Charlotte Leach 1845 Ft Madison,Lee,IA: child Ellen Caroline born 1846 in Ft Madison. In 1847 Semira in Probate Court seeking guardianship of dau Ellen. She had to post a bond. He father or brother Cotton Mather Leach was a witness to this probate court. Land was awarded to Caroline. I know what happened to Semira (remaried in IL and had another child in 1850 census) and Caroline, (in same census as her mother) and they then moved on to WI. but William just disapeared. No record of him in any census, military, etc. I do have him dealing in land, but nothing after late 1845. Any help or suggestions appreciated
