Cemetery and or headstone info

According to a journal written by Hugh Vance's brother-in-law Hugh died and was buried in Ft. Madison while in route to Missouri from Wisconsin. He died in 1870. Hugh was married to Virginia Capps and she and Hugh had a son who lived in Ft. Madison at the time. I would like to know the name of the cemetery and to discover if there is a headstone or perhaps an obituary notice. I am trying to locate Hugh's parents and thought perhaps that the information may be listed in an obit or on a headstone.
