I am trying to determine the actual death of Daniel McKeehan, Sr. Daniel Sr. was married to a Lovina Clevenger. Lovina died in 1841 and is buried in the McKeehan Cemetery. However, Daniel, her husband is not buried there...as far as i know. That being said, i think i've found a census record of Daniel and Lovina living with their son Benjamin in the Lee Co. 1840 census. If you review it, there is an elderly couple living with Benjamin who are between the ages of 60-70, which are most likely his parents. Later, i find Daniel McKeehan (last name transcribed in the census as McGehin) living next to his sons Benjamin and Daniel Jr. in Lee Co. The names is a variation of McKeehan and if you review the families of Benjamin and Daniel Jr...you can be sure that it is the McKeehans. Therefore, it is highly probable this Daniel (Living alone) is Daniel Sr....the husband to Lovina and father to Daniel and Benjamin. His occupation is listed as a carpenter. I can't find him after that so highly likely he died between 1850-1854...unless he moved. Anyone have any insight to this...I know that most have Daniel Sr. listed as dead in 1830 in Indiana based on HISTORY OF ROSS AND HIGHLAND COUNTIES, OHIO...but i contend that this is Daniel Sr living in Lee Co, IA till at least 1850...Thoughts? Anyone know where Daniel Sr might have been buried? Any Death records?
