The Anschutz Studio was located on North 4th St between Main and Blondeau Sts. It was a local institution, did all the weddings, high school classes, etc through the 1940s.

The Anschutz family lived on the River Road, beyond Rand Park; in fact, the steep hill at the top was called "Anschutz Hill". One of the Misses Anschutz, Louise, I think, was an artist of considerable talent; her drawings of the river and canal are especially fine.
