Clara Levetta (Hagen) Fowler wife of Frank Warren Fowler is my Great Aunt. Have been working hard to piece together John Philip and Elizabeth Findeis Hagen family history.

As there was a wide age difference between my Hagen Grandparents little was known about My Grandfather Chris Hagen's siblings, etc.

The Hagen family came from Germany in January of 1888 and eventually settled in Lee County.
Clara was born in Germany Dec 31, 1880 and died in 1970. Would like to know exact date, where she died and what cemetery she and Frank are buried in.

Information that I have on their children are:

Earl F. b: Rock Island IL d: Grinnell, IA
Mabel Clara b: Rock Island, IL d: Ft Madison, IA
George Warren b: New Boston, IA d: Ft. Madison, IA
Mildren E. b: Lee Co.,IA
Marie E. b: Lee Co., IA
Edna b: Lee Co., IA

Have spouses for everyone except Mildren and Marie.

I have been corresponding with the only male living Hagen relative. He has shared beautiful family pictures of way back. One which he thought was of Great Grandfather John Philip and Elizabeth Hagen. However, I am told it may actually be Frank and Clara.

Clara had the following siblings: all of whom died in Grinnell along with Great Grandmother Elizabeth, except Chris who died in MN

Carl A. Findeis - step-brother

Elizabeth Findeis - step-sister

Albert Hagen- have not found any info except he was listed in the funeral announcement in the Cripple Creek Times, Cripple Creek, CO as attending his father John Philip Hagen's funeral with Carl Findeis. It said that Albert came from the New Boston IA area. When he came to US is unknown.

It has been wonderful in finding what I have so far and I would be glad to share any information that I have if anyone is interested in Clara or Elizabeth Fowler's siblings, etc.
