Old Red Ball Road

MT HAMILL, PRIMROSE, HOUGHTON, CLAY GROVE, LACREW

At one point, the "old Red Ball Road" was referenced to me as following the present day roads of (Salem Road)W-55 and on through 150th Ave.

This route would have taken it right past the 1867-Cumberland Presbyterian Church (later moved into Mt.Hamill) and what was known as the "Mt. Hamill flats" area. (early day suburbia?)

I wondered if anyone had knowledge of this infamous roadway?

The Iowa Pathways site references the Red Ball Road as being the Avenue of the Saints. See link below for more info.

Thanks in advance for clearing up my confusion on this bit of local trivia.
