I am trying to find out exactly which regiment, etc. George F. Harris served in during the civil war. He would have been living in Des Moines/Keokuk, Iowa at the time. I am finding 2 different listing and not sure which is correct. Geo. F. Harris b-abt, 1836 in MA.
2 listings are;
George F. Harris age 27...7th Missour Calvary, Co D, enlisted Feb. 4. 1862. ,mustered-same date, pormoted Commissary Sergeant

George F. Harris 2 Missouri S.M. Cav.-Union, Co F,D Rank-In Muscn (?), out-Sgt.
