where did he come from, who were his parents?

John DeKalb,Hoover Cemetary, Lee county. My great grandfather. Born Aug 4, 1818, Died Jan 26,1899. Married to Sara P. Enlow. May have been born in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio (listed in the fort madison old settlers book?) Parents may be from Maryland (1880 Census). The trail ends. Wish I knew more. Who were his parents, where were they from. Did he have a middle name?
