Hello I am trying to find out if any of my ancestors lived in Lee County. My great grandfather Mich'l or Micheal Forde or Ford show that his mailing address at the time he entered the Civil war was Keokuk, Iowa. It would have been around 1864. He was born Dec 1842 in Liverpool, England and came to America in 1850 to the port of New York. Any help would be great. This is the one I keep beating my head against the wall on.
