Corporal. Mustered April 11, 1862. Promoted First Corporal July 1, 1862; Third Sergeant Dec. 9,

1862; First Sergeant June 16, 1863. Wounded severely June 26, 1863, Vicksburg, Miss. Taken

Prisoner Oct. 13, 1864, Tilton, Ga. Mustered out April, 15, 1865, Davenport, Iowa, expiration of

term of service.

Found in History of Iowa volunteer 17th infantry
May try to find in Civil War Cemetary listing for
Keokuk which is part of the Oakland Cemetary
