LAWRENCE MONROE ALBERTS
MAY 6, 1909 - JUL 6, 1910

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence M. Alberts, 929 Palean Street, is today enshrouded in gloom over the death of their little son, Lawrence M. who died at half past twelve, shortly past midnight. Death came to the little boy after an illness of two weeks from whooping cough. It was thought, however, by those attending him that the child would survive and bright hopes for a speedy recovery were entertained until yesterday when his condition became worse.
Lawrence M. Alberts was 14 months old today. He was born in this city [Keokuk]May 6, 1909, and was a bright child and loved by all who knew him and came in contact with the little fellow's sunshine and happiness. The only son and idol of his parents, the death of their little one is extremely sad to the bereaved parents and sisters, and the sympathy of all of Keokuk is extended them in their hour of sorrowing.
Besides the parents, there survive 5 sisters, Hazel R., Jessie, Bertha, Cecile, and Ethel. Funeral services will be held tomorrow morning at nine o'clock from the family home, the Rev. R.W. Lilly of the First Christian Church to be in charge. The Daily Gate City- Keokuk-Lee-IA
