DIED AT HAMILTON

W. H. Tyrrell, the Well Known Yardmaster, Passes Away Regretted by all.

W. H. Tyrrell died at his home in Hamilton at 5 o'clock Wednesday, after an illness which lasted for some time. He was one of the best known and most highly respected citizens of that city, and was recognized as a man of superior quality with a big heart and active brain who made many friends and kept them all.

He was born in Benton, Wisc., September 30, 1844, and came to Hamilton twenty years later. He was married in 1866 to Miss Abbie Robinson of Hamilton, who survives him. He also leaves three sons and one daughter, C. D. Tyrrell, union station ticket agent, Miss Lillie Z. Tyrrell of the Constitution-Democrat counting room, Ed F. Tyrrell and Fay Tyrrell of Hamilton. His mother is still living and one sister, Mrs. Sallie Provolt, of Marcelline, Mo.
He was the yardmaster of the Wabash road here in Keokuk for twenty years, and afterward became yardmaster for the Rock Island road, retaining that position until his last sickness began. He was well known to railroad men throughout this part of the country and was very popular among them.
