Mrs. Fulton Is Dead

One of the Best Beloved of Keokuk's Women Goes to Her Reward.

However much the long and hopeless illness of Mrs. William Fulton may have prepared her friends for the announcement of her death, which occurred at 2:45 o'clock Friday morning, it in no way lessens the deep sadness and sense of bereavement which comes to the large circle of her acquaintances.
Lizzie Dalzell was born in Pittsburg, Pa., March 14, 1833, and was at her death a few days past sixty-five years of age. Her girlhood days were spent in Wellsville, Ohio. She came to Keokuk forty-two years ago, June 22, 1863, she was married to William Fulton, and for almost one third of a century they have walked together in the midst of many happinesses in the rugged paths of this life--the rest of which journey the sorrowing husband is left to trod alone.
Four children, Robert D., of Portland, Ore., Nannie P., James M., and Elizabeth, of this city, today know for the first time a great grief which comes to us but once. Mrs. Fulton is survived by one brother, Mathew Dalzell, of Evansville, Ind., and one sister, Mrs. Martha McQueen.
