Cecil J. Bonar

Cecil J. Bonar, 86, of Denmark, Iowa, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Burlington Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa.

He was born May 28, 1896, in Mt. Union, Iowa, to John and Idell Enslow Bonar.

He married Inez Henderson on January 20, 1915, at Bloomfield, Iowa. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Robert of Ft. Madison, Iowa, and Harold of Wever, Iowa; four daughters, Nora Pitts of Burlington, Iowa, Wanda Riddle and Lucille Sweeney both of Denmark, Iowa, and Betty Pumphrey of Ft. Madison, Iowa, 22 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 8, 1983, at Barr Memorial Chapel in Denmark, Iowa, with burial in the Denmark Cemetery.
