An Epidemic of Diphtheria

OTTUMWA. Ia., July 27- In Croton, Lee County, there is an epidemic of diphtheria. Six of John Starr’s children were down at the same time. Two sons and two daughters died and none of the neighbors would even help to bury them. There are many other cases.
