After an Illness of Five
Weeks
-----
Mrs. C. P. Carlson died at the family home, 1516 Park street, at 8:40 o'clock Sunday morning of paralysis, after an illness of about five weeks.

Mrs. Carlson was a native of Sweden in which country she was born sixty-two years and eleven months ago.

Before marriage she was Miss Josephine Carlson, her last name being the same as that of her husband, whom she married in Sweden. The family came to this country twenty-three years ago and immediately located in Keokuk where they have since resided. Mrs. Carlson was a good neighbor, a kind wife and an affectionate mother, and many mourn her taking off. She was a devout and consistent member of the Swedish Lutheran church where will be missed her very helpful assistance.

She is survived by five children, three sons and two daughters, S. B. Carlson, of Waco, Texas; Mrs. H. L. Merrick, of Keokuk; B. A. Carlson, St. Louis, and Miss Amanda Carlson and Frank E. Carlson both of Keokuk.

A funeral notice in another column gives announcement of the funeral.
