Josiah Cloud, 86, died today at 7:30 a.m. at the home of his daughter Mrs. J.F. Howell, 2826 Ave L., Ft. Madison, Ia. Had been ill 4 yrs.

Born July 13, 1861 in Indiana and came to Ft. Madison at the age of 4 yrs. Married Laura Bell Wardlow on Nov. 17, 1901 at Montrose, Ia. Mrs. Cloud died may 21, 1947 and a daughter Hilda also preceded him in death. Farmer.

Funeral Friday at 2 p. m. at Clement Chapel. Buried Hickory Grove Cemetery near Summitville, Ia.

Survived by three sons, Clyde, Ft. Madison, Ia.; Curtis, Ft. Madison; Otho, Ft. Madison; one daughter Mrs. J.F. Howell; 19 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.

Note: Married to Jennette "Nettie" Phillips 1883 and Mary Jennie Bennett 1894.
