At the Parental Home, After Several
Months of Serious Illness -
Resided in Keokuk Many Years.________
Mrs. Mary Tumelty, widow of the late Jay Tumelty, died at the family home 415 Johnson street, at 10:20 o'clock this forenoon after several months of ill health, nine weeks of which illness she was confined to her bed.
Mrs. Tumelty was born at Xenia, Ill., March 7, 1879, and was the daughter of Mrs. Jeff Monical by a former marriage and her name before marriage was Miss Mary Patrick and had lived in Keokuk since she was a girl, about thirty years.
Although not a member she held to the Catholic faith and attended St. Mary's church.
She is survived by her stepfather and mother, three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Black of Quincy, Ill., Mrs. Amy Griffith of Keokuk, and Miss Garnet Monical of Keokuk and two brothers Elmer and Frank Monical of Keokuk.
Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed.

The funeral of Mrs. Mary E. Tumelty, widow of the late Jay Tumelty, was held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon at St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. Father Giglinger officiating.
The burial followed in the Catholic Cemetery.
