Deborah L. "Deb" Taylor, age 41 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at the Mercy Hospital in Muskegon. Deb was born on August 17, 1966 in Moline, Illinois to Robert and Janet (Norris) Buehl. She attended Hamilton, Illinois schools where she was in the choir, flags, received a nurse's aid certification in her junior and senior year and graduated from Hamilton High School in 1985. Deb also enjoyed tennis, riding her bike and shopping. Deb married Gregory A. Taylor on March 23, 1985 in Keokuk, Iowa and moved to the Fremont area in 1987 where she was the co-manager at Gliks clothing store in Fremont. Deb was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Fremont.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Greg of Fremont; her children, Gregory M. Taylor of Watertown, Wisconsin; Shannon M. Taylor of Fremont; Jeremy A. Taylor of Fremont; Jordan A. Taylor of Fremont; her parents, Robert & Janet Buehl of Hamilton, Illinois; her brothers Mike (Lisa) Buehl of Drummonds, Tennessee; Eric (Becky) Buehl of St. Louis, Missouri; her mother and father-in-law, Ralph & Rita Taylor of Nauvoo, Illiinois; brothers and sister-in-laws, Gene (Lora) Taylor of Nauvoo, Illinois, Gwen (Alan) Guedesse of Washington, Illinois, Ralph (Aimee) Taylor of Bossier City, Louisiana; maternal grandmother-in-law, Mattie Schaub of Muskegon; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristen L. Taylor and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 from the First Baptist Church in Fremont with Pastor Steve Summerfield presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton, Illinois. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 8, 2008 after 2 p.m. with family meeting friends between 5-8 pm with funeral services on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Keokuk, Iowa.
