DIED-At Mt. Pleasant, on the 25th day of December, 1865, Freeling H. Cale.

He faithfully served the country three years as a member of Co. E., First Iowa Calvary Engrs. He died a Christian. Among his last words were, “The Lord is with me.” Thus hast passed away a true Patriot and Follower of Christ.
