Lucretia Wells, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. L. Dulin, was born in Boone county, Ind., May 18, 1840. This dear mother passed peacefully away at her home in Farmington at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 1933, at the age of 92 years, 7 months and 22 days.
She was united in marriage to Rev. S. B. Wells May 17, 1858, in Kankakee, Ill. To this union five children were born; two daughters and father and husband preceded her in death. The father and husband passed away Feb. 5, 1891.
Those left to mourn are three sons, Willis L. and Charlie N. of Revere, Mo., and Bert C. of Muscatine; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and many other relatives and a large circle of friends.
When quite young she united with the Christian church, of which she was a faithful member. She was deprived of her companion early in her life, while he served in the Civil war for several years.
She was always a kind neighbor and true friend. At the advanced age of almost 93 years, she enjoyed caring for her home and the welfare of others.
To all who assisted us in so many ways to lighten our cares and the burden of sorrows, to the watchers, bearers, singers and other friends and for the beautiful floral tribute, we wish to express our thanks. In such sad hours one most appreciates their friends. All are gratefully remembered. ~ The Wells Family
