MRS. A.F. FERRIS
Mrs. A. F. Ferris of 607 Carroll street in Keokuk passed away at 2:20 Friday morning in St. Joseph hospital in Keokuk, where she had been a patient since Dec. 6. She had been in failing health for several months.
Mrs. Ferris was born in Keokuk, the daughter of Henry and Bridget McAndrew Welsh, and had spent all her life there.
She married Albert F. Ferris in St. Peters church Nov. 18, 1908.
She was a member of the St. Peter church, the Altar and Rosary societies, the Ladies of Charity and the Auxiliary to the A.O.H.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Inez, four brothers and five sisters.
Those left to mourn her passing are, her husband, three sons, John H. of Farmington, Francis X. and Donald C. of Keokuk; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Sohl of Keokuk and Mrs. Celestine Jaeger of Fort Madison; 14 grand children, a niece and two nephews.
Funeral services were held in St. Peter church Monday at 9 a.m. with burial in the Catholic Cemetery in Keokuk.
