Mrs. Robert Linquist
Mrs. Dorothy Helen Linquist, 806 Blondeau, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Joseph Hospital at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.Born February 4, 1909, in Kahoka, Mo., she was the daughter of George and Lulu W. Jewart McHugh. She had been a resident of Keokuk for the last 40 years.
On June 27, 1936, in Keokuk she married Robert E. Linquist.
A devoted member of the First Baptist church, she played the Carolinic Chimes each day at noon for many years and also on Sunday mornings. She also was Sunday school pianist and a member of the Kay Huff circle of the church.
Surviving are her husband, two daughtes, Mrs. Gene (Barbara) Staab and Mrs. Patricia Hymes of Keokuk, a grandson, Stephen Robert Staab of Keokuk, a sister, Mrs. Georgia Petty of Delmar, Calif., and a nephew, Gary Lee petty of Delmar. She was preceded in death by two infant children.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist church with the Rev. B. L. Sweeney officiating.
Burial will be in the National cemetery.
