Mrs. Huttenlocher's Rites to be Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. Laura Huttenlocher, who died early Saturday afternoon, will be held from the Trinity Methodist church on Tuessday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and the body will remain at the Pearson Funeral home until time for the rites.
The death of Mrs. Huttenlocher who resided at 315 High Street occurred at 12:21pm Saturday in Graham hospital, where she had been a patient for six weeks.
A daugther of Thomas J and Harriett E. Jewell Hardesty, she was born in Keokuk on Feb 18, 1866. After her marriage to Herman Huttenlocher, they made their home in Des Moines until Mr. Huttenlocher's death 25 years ago when she returned to Keokuk.
Mrs. Huttenlocher was a member of Trinity Methodist church here and had been quite active in fraternal orgaizations. A past worthy president of an O. E. S. chapter in Des Moines, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, of the Keokuk Past Matron's club, the Tri City Matron's club and the White Shrine, and the Rebekahs.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Huttenlocher was preceded in death by one child in infancy by her parents, two sisters, and one brother. Survivors include one nephew, Frank J. Hardesty of Long Beach, Calif.
