Death of a pioneer
Mrs. Sarah Graham, wife of Arthur Graham? died in Franklin Center No ____ 78, aged seventy-nine years___ months and eighteen days. They were married the fourth of June 18??, at Penrith? county of Cumberland, England. They came to the United States the same month and went to Belfont? PA. There they remained three years and then moved to Cincinnati. Three years later they came to Iowa and settled in Lee County and remained there until her death. Nearly fifty? five years have they lived together. She was a good woman full of charity and good works. No deserving and needy person was every turned from her door empty. She was beloved by all who knew her and died __ the hope of a better existence in a brighter world beyond the tomb. Her funeral was one of the _____ held in Franklin and was ____ by many of her old associates.
