Rev. Robert ‘Buzz' Francis Carr

REVERE, Mo. - The Rev. Robert “Buzz” Francis Carr, 58, of Revere, Mo., and formerly of Keokuk, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at his home.

He was born on Sept. 15, 1947, in Keokuk, the son of Delmar and Frances Franks Carr.

He married Joy Belinda Graham in 1970 and later divorced in 1973.

He was a 1966 graduate of Keokuk High School. Following high school, he faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.

He was employed at BTR and several years for Hickey Contracting in Keokuk. He also was pastor of the Church of the New Hope.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an arrowhead collector.

He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Hammel and her husband, Derek, of Hamilton, Ill.; three grandchildren, Haleigh, Brett and Drake Hammel; a brother, Danny Carr and his wife, Renee, of Keokuk; and a sister, Susan Carr of Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Michael Carr.

Graveside services with military rites will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Keokuk National Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is in charge of arrangements.
