DEATH OF DR. HOFFMAN. Dr. W. D. HOFFMAN, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip HOFFMAN of this city, died at Sigourney Monday evening. He was stricken with paralysis several years ago and had been in precarious health ever since. Dr. HOFFMAN was reared in this city. He read medicine with Dr. N. STEELE and graduated from the Keokuk medical college early in the '60s. During the war he served as a surgeon in the Navy, and after his return practiced medicine for a short time at Libertyville. He then removed to Sigourney, where he has since resided. although much of his time in recent years has been spent in travel. His wife and three grown children survive him.

Thomas L. and Isaac HOFFMAN and Mrs. J. A. MONTGOMERY left for Sigourney last night to attend the funeral services of their brother.
