LIBERTYVILLE. Nancy SCOVEL was born March 23, 1827, at Hamilton, Madison County, N.Y., and died at her home in Libertyville June 21st. She came to Iowa in the fall of 1844 and settled in Lee County. July 22, 1846, married William PRATT with whom she had lived almost 53 years.

Eight children were born of this union, six of whom preceded her to the grave. Five are lying in the Fell Cemetery and one rests at West Point, Lee County. Deceased had resided in this community since 1853. Mrs. PRATT was a quiet woman, an affectionate wife and a tender, loving mother, and one of the kindest neighbors....

A son, daughter and bereaved husband mourn her loss... Remains were conveyed to the Fell Cemetery where they will rest until the morning of the resurrection.

DEATH OF MRS. WILLIAM PRATT. Maiden name was Nancy L. SCOVEL, born at Hamilton, Madison Co., N.Y., Mar. 23, 1827; died at her home in Libertyville June 20, 1899.

Emigrated to Iowa in 1844 and settled in Lee County. July 22, 1846, at West Point, united in marriage with William PRATT.

Eight children, six preceded the mother. Five of these are lying side by side in the Fell Cemetery while one sleeps in the cemetery at West Point....
