Last Will and Testament of Stephen Pohlmeier, deceased.

In the name of God Amen.

I, Stephen Pohlmeier of Fort Madison Iowa of the age of 66 years being of sound mind and memory but aware of the uncertainty of life do by these presents make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament, in manner following to-wit:

1. After my death I wish to be burried according to the rules and regulations of the Roman Catholic Church.

2. I wish that all my debts including funeral expenses be paid as soon after my death as possible.

3. I give, bequeath and devise to my beloved wife Anna Maria Pohlmeier all my property may the same be Real Estate or Personal Property, she shall be the sole and absolute owner thereof.

4. After my death I wish that my wife Anna Maria Pohlmeier pays to Rev. P. Kern or his successor as pastor of St. Mary's Church at Ft. Madison Iowa, Fifty Dollars for which the same shall read or cause to be read, holy masses for the eternal rest of my soul.

5. After the death of my wife or the last one of us, my Executor or my children shell give Fifty Dollars to Rev. P. Kern or his successor as pastor of St. Mary's Church at Ft. Madison Iowa for which the same shall read or cause to be read, holy masses for the eternal rest of her soul.

6. After the death of my wife my children John Pohlmeier, Anna Bueker, George Pohlmeier, Joseph Pohlmeier, Cooney Pohlmeier, Henry Pohlmeier, Frank Pohlmeier, and Lizzie Pohlmeier shall divide all the rest of my property shere and share alike.

7. I hereby appoint my wife Anne Marie Pohlmeier sole Executrix of this my last will and testament and do not require of her to give bond before any court whatsoever.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand this 20th day of January A. D. 1906.

The above and foregoing instrument was at the date thereof signed and declared by the Testator as his last will and testament in our presence and we have in his presence and at his request and in presence of each other subscribed our nemes as witnesses thereto.
