Deed: Henry FRAUNE to Joseph BECKERT Lee County, Iowa Deed Records -
Book 1
Know all when by these present, that we Henry FRAUNE and Maria FRAUNE,
his wife of Lee county and State of Iowa in consideration of the sum of
two hundred and fifty dollars in hand paid by Joseph BECKERT of Lee
County and State of Iowa do hereby sell and convey unto the said Joseph
BECKERT and to his heirs and assigns the following described premises,
to wit: The North East corner of Lot One Thousand and Seventy One (1071)
in the town of Fort Madison, Lee County, Iowa, described as follows:
commencing at the North East Corner of said lot, running thence West 100
feet, thence South to an alley, corresponding with other alleys in the
said town of Fort Madison, running the same direction, thence East 100
ft., thence North to the place of beginning, and we do hereby convenant
with the said Joseph BECKERT that we are lawfully seized a fee to sell
the said premises, that they are free from incumberance, that we have
good right and lawful authority to see the same, and we do hereby
convert to warrent and defend the said premises, and appurtenances
thereto belonging, against the lawful claims of all persons whomsoever,
and the said Marie FRAUNE hereby relinquishes all her right of Dower in
and to the above described premises.

The State of Iowa Lee County...On this 23rd day of March A.D. 1863,
before me Charles DOERR, Notary Public in and for said County,
personally came Henry FRAUNE and Marie FRAUNE his wife to me personally
know to be the identical persons who signed the above deed as grantors
and acknowledge the execution of the same to be their voluntary act and
deed.
