SPRING, J., proprietor of Floral Hall, No. 153 Main st. ; born in Bavaria, Germany, in 1823; came to Keokuk in 1855 ; has been in the saloon business since 1856. In 1856, married Miss Catherine Frieker ; she was born in Eloise, Germany, in 1838 ; they have eight children—Mary, Kate, Amelia, Josephine, Lizzie, Frank X., Clementius J., Edward ; members of the Catholic Church.
