I am searching for any information regarding the family of Alexander S. Anderson and wife Sarah {unknown}. The following is what I have gathered to date, mostly from the census.

I. Alexander S. Anderson (15695) married Sarah (--?--) (15696). He was born on 30 May 1838 in Canada. In 19 Jun 1880 he lived in the Town of Elmore, Faribault County, Minnesota. He died on 28 Jul 1907 at Faribault County, Minnesota, USA, at age 69. He is buried in the Riverview Cemetery in Elmore Township (per the excellent transcription done by Diane Oldfather and located on Rootsweb.com). He is listed as buried next to his daughter Nellie (no note of her being a daughter, entirely based on census research).

I found him and family in the 1870 census, in Pilot Grove, Faribault County with an unrecognizable first name, however the rest of the family matches. The census states he was born in Canada along with both of his parents. The birthplace of his wife and her parents are also listed as Canada. In 1880 census of Elmore, Faribault census he also lists Canada as his birthplace as well as his parents. In 1900 census of Springfield, Kossuth County, Iowa, Alexander states he was born in New York as well as his parents. His wife, Sarah, also now states she was born in Canada but her parents were both born in New York. Springfield township is right next to Hebron were daughter Frances was residing with family George McArthur. Sarah was found in the 1910 census of Elmore Township, Faribault County, Minnesota showing Canada as her birthplace as well as her parents.

A. Viola2 Anderson (15697) was born circa 1866 at Minnesota.

B. Francis2 Anderson (15673) was born circa 1868 at Minnesota. She married George McArthur (15674), son of Caleb McArthur (15683) and Augusta Caroline Sharp (15684), circa 1886. George resided with his father during the 1870 and 1880 censuses, both taken in Elmore, (Blue Earth City / Faribault County). She lived with George McArthur (15674) on 2 Jun 1900 at Hebron Township, Kossouth County, Iowa. She was residing at East Nampa Precinct, Nampa, Canyon County, Idaho, on 28 Apr 1910.

C. Lydia Ann2 Anderson (15698) was born circa 1870 at Minnesota.

D. Lulu Edith2 Anderson (15699) was born circa 1873 at Minnesota.

E. Nettie Cornelia2 Anderson (15701) was born circa 1873 at Minnesota

F. Nelly Ruth2 Anderson (15700) was born on 16 Dec 1874 at Minnesota. She died on 16 Feb 1888 at Faribault County, Minnesota, USA, at age 13.

G. Grace Etheline2 Anderson (15702) was born circa Aug 1879 at Minnesota.
