Casper May marriage in Wesley, Iowa

Hello..trying to find out the surname of my grandmother's brother, Casper May. He married Clara Matz in Wesley, Iowa June 21, 1921. He was adopted when he came on the Orphan Train to Stacyville. Supposedly his last name when arriving was Iilderum or Ilderium? I have tried elsewhere to find, with no luck. Wondering if someone goes to the courthouse that may look at the record and see if any further information is listed. Clara Matz parents were Robert and Anna Gunterberg Matz.thank you for any help
