KLEIST, William & Amelia

KLEIST, SCHMIDT, BORK, ROSENAU

I am seeking information on the William F. and Amalia (Amelia) BORK KLEIST family and William's father, Karl (possibly Carl or Charles), and
Wilhelmina ROSENAU KLEIST. It is also possible that William F.'s sisters, Henriette and Julia, came to Iowa with Karl and Wilhelmina Kleist, but they would have been in their 20's at the time. I believe the families moved to Burt/Ramsey/Lakota area in Kossuth County around 1875-1880 from Iowa County, WI. Several children were born to William and Amelia in Kossuth County: F. William Kleist, born 24 Jan 1880, Ramsey; Henry, born 16 Aug 1883, Burt; Lydia Louisa, born 6 Feb 1886, Ramsey; Paul, born 17 Jan 1889, Ramsey; and Esther, born 21 Jul 1893, Lakota. Another daughter, Molly, died in Kossuth County. Older children: Carl Gottlieb, Johannes, Lena, and Anna, were all born in Wisconsin. Lena married Henry SCHMIDT and lived her life in the Ramsey area, dying in 1961. William F. KLEIST died in MN and was buried Sept. 1910 in Lakota, IA. Amelia died and was buried in Lakota in 1930. I would greatly appreciate any information you could find and I am grateful for your time and energy. Thank you.
