Squire Hudson, Burt, Succumbs Suddenly
Burt, December 6, Special: Burt citizens were shocked Saturday evening when they heard Squire Hudson had died suddenly. He had not been feeling as well as usual, and after eating supper he passed away suddenly.
Mr. Hudson was born December 10, 1848 and had he lived until Saturday he would have been eighty-four years old. He leaves his wife and seven children, four daughters and three sons, Earl, of Lennox, Iowa, Sumner of Clear Lake and Bert of Davenport, Mrs. W.E. Baker of Algona, Mrs. Frank Lupin of Bancroft, Mrs. O.G. Schmidt of Fenton and Mrs. James West of Kansas City. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Monday afternoon with Rev. J.E. Clifton officiating. The Masons attended in a body and had charge of the services at the cemetery. Friends extend their sympathy to the family.
