FENTON WOMAN DIES AFTER HEART ATTACK

FENTON – Mrs. Sarah Marie Luedeke Weisbrod, 78, died suddenly of a heart attack at about 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 19. Mrs. Weisbrod moved into Fenton in 1953 after the death of her husband Elmer Weisbrod in 1952.

Sarah Marie Luedke was born in Klemme May 5, 1883. She is survived by three children, Ralph, Fenton; Harold (Bob), Marion, Ill., and Mrs. Milford Elbert (June), Whittemore; five sisters and two brothers. Her parents, husband, one sister and one brother are dead.

She was a member of the Fenton Methodist Church, a member of the Golden Age group of the W.S.C.S., sang alto in the church choir for 40 years, was the treasurer for the Home Missionary Society for many years, a charter member of the Fenton Womens Club and a member of the Dorcas Sewing Circle.

Funeral services were held Monday in the Fenton Methodist Church with burial in the Methodist Cemetery. Rev. H. A. Walker officiated and Thomas Funeral Chapel was in charge.

Transcriber’s Note – Sarah Marie Weisbrod was born May 5, 1883 and died January 19, 1962. Luedke is also spelled Ludeke or Luedtke.
