July 26, 1955 - Kossuth county Advance - George Thul, 71, Bode farmer, died suddenly last Saturday about 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's hospital in Fort Dodge. He was taken to the hospital on Friday. Funeral services for Mr. Thul will be at 9:00 a.m., Thursday at St. Joe with the Rev. P.M. Sturm officiating. Burial will be in St. Joe. cemetery with the Hamilton funeral home in charge.

Mr. Thul was born in Illinois on March 20, 1884, to Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Thul. He came to the St. Joe area in 1893, and was married to Louise Wilmes there in 1906, who survives him.

Other survivors include his son and a daughter, Harold Thul and Mrs. Peter Becker, both of Bode, besides two sisters and two brothers, including John Thul, Bode.
