August 18, 1893 - Algona Courier - Mr Nicholas Thilges died at his home late last Tuesday at 2 am. He had been in delicate health for three years but what his disease was, we haven't learned.

Besided his wife & ten children, he leaves two brothers, Michael & Peter to mourn his death.

The deceased was born in Luxembourg & came to this country in 1889. Since then he has resided on his farm in St Joe. His children consist of 8 boys & 2 girls, the youngest of which is 6 years. The funeral took place from the Catholic church in St Joe Wednesday.
