Oct 27, 1949 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Joseph M. Thilges Buried at St. Joe - Last rites were held for Joseph M. Thilges, 67, of Algona, Ia. Mr. Thilges died October 24th at St. Ann's Hospital following a lingering illness.

Joseph M. Thilges was born April 25, 1882 at St. Joe, Ia., the son of Mr. & Mrs. Peter Thilges. He was united in marriage to Ann Etringer on September 19, 1908.

He is survived by his wife, six children and four brothers. Children are: Arthur Thilges, Aloysius Thilges, Ben Thilges, Viola Krieps, all of Algona, Ia.; Florence Hofer, Sexton; and Leo Thilges, Bode, Ia.

Pallbearers were: Matt Hilbert, George Besch, John Origer, Ernest Gales, Herman Veerkamp and Lyle Steele. Arrangements were by Hamilton of Algona, Ia.
